HairGo Warm Wax Mug

Before use, please read precautions and warnings carefully.

Do not use in microwave or over boil!
Remove wax mug from box and tear away plastic covering. Use gloves or mits while handling the mug as it will get hot.
Ensure that the base and sides of the mug are free of any wax residue. Place mug on the smallest stove plate on the lowest setting. Allow it to sit for 5 minutes, or as long as it takes for wax to become a thick, syrup-like consistency.
Remove from heat with oven glove and place mug on a workable, heat resistant surface.
When assessing whether wax is ready for use, use the spatula provided to mix the wax around in the mug. The whole mug of wax need not be melted in order for the wax to be effective.
Should the entire mug of wax have a clear, thin, syrup-like consistency, then the wax is TOO HOT for use. Allow it to sit for a while and cool before applying. ALWAYS test the wax on the inside of the wrist to assess temperature. The wax should be warm and pliable with a consistency slightly thicker than honey.
The wax is re-heatable so avoid using when too hot as it may result in burns and blistering. Allow it to cool. In the event of its cooling too much, re-heat the wax for a short period on the stove-top. Once removed, allow it to cool to a temperature with which you are comfortable.
Prior to wax application, clean hair removal area with the HairGo pre wax cleansing gel. This will de-sensitize the skin as well as remove impurities and oily residue from your skin, helping to prevent pore blockages that may lead to ingrown hairs. More importantly, it allows the wax to grip onto the hairs and remove them more effectively.
Once you are comfortable with the heat and consistency of the wax, spread it evenly against the direction of the hair growth, keeping it about 2mm thick in all places. Allow the wax to sit on the skin for about 10-20 seconds, or as soon as it feels solid when you dab it (but not so solid that it has become brittle).
The warmth of the wax will open the pores and allow the hair to be removed more easily as well as allowing the essential oils to penetrate the skin. To remove the wax (and hair), lift the edge of the wax (on the opposite side to which you applied) and pull up, quickly and firmly, whilst holding the skin taught with your free hand. Repeat process until desired result on the area is achieved. For the odd stray hair, you may want to tweeze as opposed to re-applying.
In case of applying wax that is too hot, run cold water over the affected area, do not try to remove wax, cover with a cold compress and seek medical advice.
Additional tips and instructions: Legs - apply wax in a strip similar to the shape of a deck of cards. Underarms - as the underarm hair grows in 2 different directions, it is recommended that waxing be done in 2 sections. Always apply against the direction of hair growth and remove against hair growth. Bikini line - check the direction of hair growth - usually this is inward to the inside of the leg. Apply in vertical strips approximately 5cm long and 2cm wide. Facial hair - only to be performed by professional beauty therapists.
Waxing Tips
TIP 1: Always clean area thoroughly and apply pre wax gel prior to waxing. Baby powder can also be used for extra sensitive area such as the bikini line and under arm.
TIP 2: The quicker you pull the wax off, the less discomfort you will feel.
TIP 3: Always wax in a warm room as this opens the pores and allows the hair to be released with less discomfort.
TIP 4: A reaction such as tingling or redness may occur within minutes of waxing. Use the HairGo Post-Wax Lotion to soothe and ease discomfort.
TIP 5: For 2 days post waxing, continue to apply HairGo Ingrown Hair Serum in order to assist in preventing unsightly and painful ingrown hairs.
SUMMARY: Clean hair removal area with the HairGo Pre-wax Gel and a cloth. Apply wax against the direction of the hair growth as if you were spreading butter on bread. Wait until the wax is solid but pliable
and then quickly remove from the opposite side that you started spreading (against the hair growth), whilst holding the skin taut. Repeat process until desired result is achieved. Use the HairGo Post-wax Lotion to soothe the skin and clean off the residual wax.

Do not use on varicose veins, scars, moles, sunburn, blisters, wounds, irritated skin or skin that has previously had an adverse reaction to waxing. Waxing is not suitable for diabetics, the elderly and anyone taking oral retinoids. Only use on clean, dry skin that is free from lotions and oils.
